November and still in the same place with winter in full blast. On the 10th of November I got on a wood detail and were sent up north about fifty miles to cut up logs to burn in our stoves. Every week we had a new detail go up there and it was sure some trip as it was about forty below almost every day and the pine trees were as hard as stone. I was there only a week when we came back but that seemed like a year.
On November the Cossack were going to kill some more innocent people but our Commander gave them orders that if they killed any more we would have to stop them by FORCE. We sent over to the Cossack Headquarters fifty men and took over the Cossack prison and they took it with very little trouble.
